Week 9: #21 Podcasts, Smodcasts!

It just dawned on me that this activity, along with several others from the past, reveals how big of a comic book geek I am. Hope my girlfriend is not reading this or else I will become a single man.

Even though in the beginning I didn't care about them, after doing some searching on my own I came across them initially through iTunes. They had a few comic book creators talking about some of the upcoming changes for their characters, and it helped to increase the hype on certain books or events. Now that I am doing this exercise, I am familiar with podcasts and even take time to hear them out to see if what are people saying. The only thing, of course, is that I only narrow it down to anything relating to comic books, which means that I am narrow minded in that area alone.

But once you get down to thinking about it, they are very useful. They can be used to help promote new ideas, specially if you don't like to read and don't want to go through long entries on a blog just to find out what they are saying.

Did I discover anything new? Not really. But was it fun to go back down memory lane and remember the first time I stumbled across these things and spent about an hour or so just listening to what people said.
